Krispy Kreme’s new Xbox tie-in gives new meaning to doing doughnuts in Forza
Chris Scullion
Last summer, Krispy Kreme UK teamed up with Microsoft to release limited edition Xbox doughnuts.
The idea was absolutely ridiculous, and I’m definitely not saying that because I ordered a box of 12 for collection then fell asleep on the couch, effectively losing £15.95.
Clearly the idea was a winner, though, because the two are collaborating again and this time Forza Horizon 5 is the star of the show.
In a promotion dubbed “the ultimate taste adventure”, Krispy Kreme UK has created no fewer than two new doughnuts to celebrate all things Xbox and Forza.
What’s more, if you buy one of their ‘Taste Adventure Dozen’ promotional packs, you can take part in an online instant win competition thingy to win an Xbox Series S.
Let’s face it though, it’s the doughnuts that are the star of the show here, so here’s what to expect from the two new creations.
The Forza Festival features the Forza logo (in what appears to be edible sugar paper), and is filled with raspberry and ‘kreme’ (which is a bit nondescript), with a drizzle of icing on top.
The Game Changer, meanwhile, has the Xbox logo on top and is filled with brownie batter, and is topped with white icing and and accompanied by little green and brown icing stripes.
Buy a Taste Adventure Dozen and you’ll get two of each, along with two Strawberry Iced Rings, one Lotus Biscoff, one Nutty Chocolatta, two Sprinkles and two Original Glazed Doughnuts.
You also get a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but that’s only for new Xbox Pass members, so don’t start thinking you can stack up boxes of doughnuts (if only for health purposes).
Since I’ve already used up my “doing doughnuts” pun in the headline, I feel that this is the point where I should get serious and stress that these are available until July 3.
As such, there’s plenty of time to get your hands on a box, so there’s no need to invoke the spirit of the game and plough through your nearest country roads to reach your local shop.
